The government has updated its information on the ‘Grand Challenges to put the UK at the forefront of the industries of the future’ which is set out in its Industrial Strategy. This update is related to the government publishing the ‘Energy White Paper: Powering our net zero future’ in December 2020, which included an increase in the ambition of the Industrial Clusters Mission. The new ambition aims to deliver four low carbon clusters by 2030 and at least one net zero cluster by 2040.
