The Institute for Employment Studies (IES) has published a monthly vacancy analysis describing changes in online vacancies over the month to 9 August. The data shows that there are tentative signs of recovery in the labour market as lockdown measures have been eased. New vacancy notifications rose more than 50 % during the month of July, with 169,000 new vacancies notified in the last week of the data.
It has also published a Labour Market Statistics August 2020 briefing note,  setting out analysis of the Labour Market Statistics published on 11 August. The figures largely cover the period of full lockdown (from March to June), alongside July data from employee payrolls and the vacancy survey.
