The NHS Test and Trace App will be launched in England and Wales on Thursday 24 September 2020, available to people aged 16+. The App is designed to slow the spread of the virus by alerting people who may have been exposed to infection so that they can take action. The ESFA has advised FE providers who operate commercial training environments such as hairdressing, beauty salons, sports and fitness facilities or restaurants to familiarise themselves with the features of the App, including the use of the ‘Check-in’ facility. It has said that further guidance will be provided on the App to support its use in education settings.
