National Careers Service Webinar and Furloughed Worker Support

The National Careers Service are now offering a fully remote service, conducting 1:1 IAG appointments over the phone and 1:1 meetings via Microsoft teams. They are running 11 bespoke webinars on the topics of interview techniques including virtual guidance, NCS induction, redundancy support, effectively job searching while at home, self-employment advice and guidance, next steps for people leaving education including apprentice opportunities and traineeships, transferable skills, lone parent careers guidance, CV and spec letter writing, resilience and the benefits of distance learning and volunteering. They have also extended their offer to furloughed workers and employers who can access the IAG service and a furlough enrichment programme which includes specific COVID-19 health and safety training, furlough fact sheet, training needs analysis, return to work session, mindfulness and mental wellbeing, resilience, working from home effectively and utilising technology to support working from home.
