National Minimum Wage & National Living Wage Rate Increases Announced

The Chancellor has announced that there will be an increase in the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and National Living Wage (NLW) from April 2021. The National Living Wage ( for those aged 23 and above) will increase 2.2%, from £8.72 to £8.91, the National Minimum Wage for 21-22-year-olds will increase 2%, from £8.20 to £8.36, for 18-20-year-olds it will increase 1.7% from £6.45 to £6.56 and for under 18s it will increase 1.5% from £4.55 to £4.62. The apprenticeship minimum wage will increase by 3.6% from £4.15 to £4.30.
