The government has announced two new grant schemes to help small businesses in England. The Local Restrictions Support Grant is for businesses which have had to close or have been severely impacted by local restrictions (hospitality, leisure and non-essential retail sectors) and business owners will receive either £1,334, £2,000 or £3,000 per 4 weeks, depending on their rateable value. The Additional Restrictions Grant will be distributed through local authorities to distribute to businesses which have been severely impacted by the restrictions.
