It looks at the factors that influence how predictable exam papers are and distinguishes between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ predictability. It has also published a partner research paper on exam optionality. This looks at the use of optional questions and topics in exam papers. It is considering optionality and predictability, in conjunction with other measures that can be taken to help make exams less daunting for students.
