Ofsted has announced that alongside the Care Quality Commission (CQC) they will be visiting local areas to find out about their arrangements for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) from October. They have said that the visits are designed to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the SEND system and to support improvement. Guidance has been published setting out the details of how these visits will be carried out.
