The Office for National Statistics has published the latest young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) data. The data shows that in April to June 2020, an estimated 11.1% of all people aged 16 to 24 years were NEET. An estimated 39% of those NEET young people were looking for, and available for, work and therefore classified as unemployed; the remainder were either not looking for work and/or not available for work and were classified as economically inactive. This accompanying article gives more information on the data and looks at tips on improving employability prospects.
