The Coast to Capital LEP has announced details of the projects it is supporting as part of the Government’s new Getting Building Fund. The Getting Building Fund was created to invest in local infrastructure projects to drive economic growth in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. The list of projects supported in the C2C LEP area includes 9 projects being funded in Brighton and Hove and West Sussex. These include the creation of a new innovation centre in Crawley, the establishment of a new school of nursing and allied health provision at the University of Chichester, and the building of a resilient fibre loop to create a digital-and 5G innovation infrastructure in Brighton.
The government has also announced funding for housing and infrastructure projects as part of the Getting Building Fund across the country and investment to deliver 26000 new homes on brownfield land.
