The DfE has announced the new support service which has been launched to help apprentices who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 outbreak to find new opportunities. The new Redundancy Support Service for Apprentices (ReSSA) offers an online and telephone service to get free advice, find new opportunities, and access local and national support services offering financial, health and wellbeing, legal and careers advice. Apprentices can also search and apply for other available apprenticeship opportunities across the country. The National Careers Service South East is providing weekly ‘Redundancy Support’ webinars until the Autumn. These webinars are free to attend and provide attendees with the opportunity to access personalised career support and interact live with qualified careers advisers.
