Removal From the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register

by | 0 comments

This DfE page provides guidance on how the Department for Education may prevent apprenticeship providers and end-point assessment organisations from providing or assessing apprenticeships. The guidance for providers outlines how the DfE will respond when apprenticeship providers:

  • Do not apply to join the apprenticeship provider and assessment register (APAR) by their deadline
  • Breach an APAR condition of acceptance
  • Apply to join the APAR and are unsuccessful
  • Apply to join the APAR after being removed from it

The guidance for end-point assessment organisations (EPAOs) outlines:

  • When DfE may remove or limit EPAOs’ right to assess apprenticeships
  • How EPAOs can withdraw from assessing a particular standard
  • When EPAOs may reapply to join the APAR after removal or withdrawal
