Report Examining New Ways of Working Post Pandemic

The CIPD has published a report, based on a survey of 1000 employers, focusing on how employers have been reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic during the period to the end of June 2020. It looks at measures taken such as freezing recruitment, furloughing staff, redundancies, wage flexibility and the large shift to homeworking. The report shows that there is a high probability that there will be no return to business-as-usual post-crisis. An accompanying case studies report is here. Key findings from the report can be read here and an article discussing the findings, focussing on how home working can boost work-life balance can be read here.
