The Centre for Social Justice has published a report called ‘Trade Secrets: How to Reboot Apprenticeships and Kick-Start the Recovery‘. The report contains a series of recommendations to address the challenges facing the apprenticeship system. The recommendations include a review of the way the IfATE sets funding bands, a refinement and expansion of the traineeships offer, more support funding for developing degree apprenticeships, a concessionary scheme to help disadvantaged apprentices’ meet their transport costs and a broader and deeper system of IAG for apprenticeships.
