Our consultant members are individuals who provide strategic consultancy services to the FE and skills sector and add value to our network by collaborating and consulting with our full, associate and partner members.

Mel Butcher provides consultancy services for all types of FE & Skills providers. With over 20 years' experience working in the education and skills sector and a successful track record of implementing organisational strategy, business development, bid writing, project and stakeholder management and designing processes which enhance the education and training offer. Mel has senior expertise in the workforce skills and apprenticeships and has been at the forefront in leading establishments and teams through transformational change, strategic development and quality improvement with a results-driven approach. With nearly 25 years of experience in the Further Education (FE) sector, I bring a deep understanding of the skills landscape and the complexities of FE. I specialise in post-16 education and skills policy and implementation, strategic planning and development, data analysis, market intelligence, bid writing and tender development, project management, employer engagement, facilitation, and providing skills solutions that are innovative and achievable.
