SCTP’s March Members’ Meeting was held at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath yesterday with over 40 people present.  The meeting included a new member intro from WDR and updates from the last SCTP Board meeting and current projects including SCTP’s work on ‘Teach Too’ and the continuing work of the Apprenticeships-in-Sussex through the National Collaborative Outreach Programme. Members heard presentations from Claire Witz from Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership on the strategic economic plan and updates on the latest ESF programme opportunities. Alex Richards, from the Western Training Provider Network discussed the issues & challenges which were facing his network.  Members also heard from Mel Parr from the MY Trust on the work they do to support apprentices in East Sussex, and the latest news on T levels by Alison Whittle from City & Guilds. Members had the chance to network and discuss issues around apprenticeships, pre-employment training, and IAG.  Minutes will be issued to members shortly, the presentations from the meeting can be found on the resources page of the SCTP website.

The meeting was followed by a very informative and well-attended session on the new General Data Protection Regulations by Owen Costen from DLM Group.  Owen responded to many member’s questions relating to how the new regulations will affect training providers. Owen’s slides will be available on the SCTP website shortly.

The next Members’ Meeting is at Clair Hall, Haywards Heath on Thursday 24 May, 09.30-13.00.
