The Department for Education is planning to issue an Invitation to Tender shortly to expand and further test the Skills Bootcamp programme for delivery in the financial year 2022/23. The programme aims to expand the Skills Bootcamp model in technical, digital and construction, test how Skills Bootcamps can target skills to meet the needs of the green economy, supporting employers to transition from high to low carbon, and directly contributing to UK ambitions for net zero, and test how Skills Bootcamps can support pathways to apprenticeships through a focus on the skills, knowledge and behaviours set out in the relevant occupational standards and enabling learners to progress on to an accelerated apprenticeship at either the same or higher level.
