Skills East Sussex Launches Health & Social Care Sector Group

by | 0 comments

The last meeting of Skills East Sussex on the 20th March focussed on the Health & Social Care sector. Some SCTP members were present and the notes of the meeting are here and presentations here. This was intended as a precursor to the setting up of a further sector group covering Health & Social Care (they exist already for Construction, Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing, Visitor Economy, Land Based Industries and Creative & Digital). The purpose of the groups is to bring together providers and employers to match skills needs with available training and the supply of new employees and to develop training to fill gaps. The first meeting of the Health & Social Care Sector Group is on the 14th May at 2pm, at County Hall in Lewes. The first meeting will look at promotion of careers in the sector, resources available and the delivery infrastructure. If you wish to attend please contact Megan Hector at ESCC.
