The South East Local Enterprise Partnership has shared a final message before all activities that have been undertaken by South East LEP to support local growth will be undertaken by local authorities.
“Thank you to all our partners, businesses, local authorities, and key stakeholders in the South East, for your support and dedication to the work of the South East LEP over the past decade. SELEP was established in 2011 as a body to stimulate investment and economic growth across the region. SELEP was responsible for forging strong public-private partnerships to support business-led growth and create opportunity and prosperity for people across our region. Through robust evidence-based strategies, we were successful in securing significant sums of investment from Government – matched by national agencies, local authorities, and other partners such as colleges and private investors. During its tenure, to 2024, SELEP has managed an investment programme of over £900million, supported over 180 projects, delivered thousands of jobs, business premises, homes, training, skills improvements, new infrastructure, digital enhancements, regeneration schemes, to name a few. Together, we have shaped the growth agenda and delivered investment for the South East economy, we leave a fantastic legacy of partnership and collaboration of both the public and private sectors. We have recently undertaken a series of legacy activities to ensure we share our expertise and learnings from our role as strategic economic growth leader, to read more about these and the successful work of South East LEP.” Click here for more.
