The DfE has announced that the return to secondary schools and colleges in January will be staggered, with non-exam year groups starting with online learning during the first week of term, with face-to-face education for all starting on 11 January. This is to allow for schools and colleges to set up a Covid testing scheme to be able to offer staff and pupils tests if they have been in contact with someone with the virus.
