Statutory Guidance on How Education & Training Meets Local Needs

The DfE has published a draft statutory guidance reviewing how well education or training provided meets local needs, alongside the impact assessment of the expected costs and benefits of the reforms set out in the Skills and Post-16 Education Bill. It says that the draft guidance ‘sets out the key principles to enable governing bodies of institutions within the further education sector to comply with their duty to review provision in relation to local needs. This is a measure proposed in the Skills and Post-16 Education Bill’.
