The government has extended the deadline on its Tampon Tax Fund round of funding for 2020-21, in light of COVID-19. The deadline is now 7 June. The purpose of the Tampon Tax Fund is to allocate the funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls. Applications should focus on either of the categories: violence against women and girls, young women’s mental health, or the general programme (including education and employment).
