West Sussex County Council Support Update

West Sussex County Council’s latest coronavirus information is available on their website. The Council’s Careers Advisers are supporting NEET young people by phone, text, email and Skype. In line with government advice Children and Family Centres and Youth Centres, Find It Out Centres and libraries are closed until further notice. The Council is just keeping a few Centres open for crisis payments and food distribution only.

The Council’s Your Space web pages provide a lot of information for young people up to age 25, including links to mental health support. The Family Information Service can be contacted about childcare, family activities and support for parents and carers of 0-25 year olds. The Early Help services including safeguarding advice is available here.

West Sussex County Council has a dedicated webpage to help centralise information, resources and support that may be of use to children, young people and their parent/carers in the SEND community. They have also published a useful resource page with resources and advice for educating children at home.
