World Menopause Day – Let’s Talk About Menopause

by | 0 comments

October is World Menopause Month and World Menopause Day is held every year on the 18 October. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and wellbeing. Kirsten Trussell, founder and owner of Kirsten Trussell Coaching and Consultancy says “Women over 50 are the fastest growing demographic in the workplace and nearly 8 out of 10 menopausal women are in work. 3 out of 4 women experience symptoms and 1 in 4 could experience serious symptoms that are likely to affect them and their colleagues in the workplace. More businesses are realising the potential impact of the menopause on their workforce and ultimately on their bottom line.” Kirsten is hosting a webinar in partnership with SCTP on the 21 November, where she’ll cover topics like:

  • Why we are talking about menopause in the workplace now.
  • Basic menopause facts including what it is, the stages, what causes it, and the symptoms.
  • What you can do to support women impacted by menopause symptoms.
  • Where to go for reliable information and support.
